    Zweedse 5G-aanbieders moeten bestaande Huawei-kernapparatuur per 2025 vervangen
    Providers die in Zweden 5G willen aanbieden, mogen van de Zweedse Post en Telecom Autoriteit geen gebruik maken van Huawei- of ZTE-apparatuur voor hun kernnetwerk. Bedrijven die dat nu wel doen, moeten die apparatuur tegen 2025 hebben vervangen.

    De PTS heeft vandaag meer bekend gemaakt over de 5G-frequentieveilingen die vanaf volgende maand plaats gaan vinden. Bij die eerste veiling wordt de 3,5GHz-band geveild, de 2,3GHz-veiling volgt later. Volgens de voorwaarden moeten de winnaars 'de nodige technische en organisatorische acties ondernemen' om te waarborgen dat het gebruik van de frequenties geen gevaar oplevert voor de veiligheid van Zweden. Een onderdeel daarvan is dat nieuwe apparatuur voor de 'centrale functies' van het radionetwerk in de geveilde frequentiebanden, niet van Huawei of ZTE afkomstig zijn. Bestaande Huawei- of ZTE-apparatuur die met de frequenties gaan werken, moeten per 1 januari 2025 zijn vervangen.

    Met centrale functies bedoelt de PTS kernnetwerkonderdelen als het radio access network, het transmission network en onderdelen van het onderhouds- en servicenetwerk. De veilingvoorwaarden zijn gebaseerd op nieuwe Zweedse wetgeving die sinds 1 januari 2020 van kracht is, die samen met het Zweedse leger en de Zweedse veiligheidsdiensten zijn gemaakt. Aan de veiling doen de Zweedse providers Hi3G Access, Net4Mobility, Telia Sverige en Teracom mee.

    Eerder zei de Europese Commissie dat lidstaten meer moeten doen om de 5G-netwerken veilig te houden. Daarbij zou vooral meer gelet moeten worden op de leveranciers van apparatuur. Hoewel ze niet bij naam werden genoemd, wordt waarschijnlijk gedoeld op de Chinese leveranciers ZTE en Huawei. Onder meer Nederland, België, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Frankrijk hebben inmiddels stappen ondernomen om Huawei of ZTE te weren uit het 5G-netwerk. De overheden zijn bang dat de Chinese overheid via de apparatuur kan spioneren, al is daar tot nu toe geen bewijs voor bekend.

    STOCKHOLM, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Nokia on Tuesday sought to enforce an injunction against Lenovo <0992.HK>, the world's biggest PC maker, to block sales of its products in Germany after violation of a video encoding patent.
    A Munich court ruled on Sept. 30 that Hong Kong-listed Lenovo infringed one of Nokia's patents, ordered an injunction and a recall of products from retailers, among other things.
    Nokia launched its legal battle against Lenovo last year over alleged infringement of 20 patents. The Finnish company has ongoing cases against Lenovo in the United States, Brazil and India, in addition to six cases in Germany.
    Lenovo has appealed against the Munich court ruling.
    "We believe Nokia has violated its own legal obligations by refusing to license its technology on Fair Reasonable and Non-Discriminatory (FRAND) terms to either Lenovo or our third-party suppliers whose parts include H.264 technology," a Lenovo statement said.
    H.264 technology is a video compression format widely used in smartphones and computers. Nokia has previously sued Apple for infringing its patents and received techcrunch.com/2017/07/28/apple-paid-...
    $2 billion in settlement in 2017.
    The Munich court, the judgment of which applies only to Germany, rejected Lenovo's assertion that Nokia had not complied with FRAND obligations.
    Nokia said that Lenovo has been unwilling to enter discussions, and can resolve the matter by accepting its responsibilities and agreeing a licence on fair terms.
    "Nokia is demanding a highly-inflated global royalty rate that is more than 50 times what Lenovo believes is reasonable and appropriate," a source at Lenovo said.
    A Nokia spokesman declined to disclose financial details.

    NOKIA, hopelijk is het beurs sentiment as. donderdag goed en vallen de cijfers NOKIA ook mee...... De koers blijft maar hangen de laatste tijd. Ik wil graag weer naar €4 + ;-)

    Ik ontving zojuist het persbericht van Ericsson en de samenwerking met BT. Nokia had op 29/9 een soortgelijk persbericht met BT. Interessant om de hersenen te trainen zoals "zoek de 5 verschillen".

    Was bij 3,62 uitgestapt, maar net toch weer ingestapt, in de veronderstelling dat de cijfers niet teleur zullen stellen. Een dagje afwachten nog.

    NOKIA, Ben er nog niet gerust op. Voor beurs staat het aandeel flink lager. Voor wat het waard is.

    Dubbel gevoel, zeker niet slecht maar de winstmarges blijven redelijk laag. Aan de koers te zien hadden ze er meer van verwacht.
