    Hiephiephoera...weer 60 cent op mijn beeldscherm...gaan we dit vasthouden of gaan de verkopers (lees daytraders, Absolute Capital, winstnemers op een dalende beurs en stijgend clinuvel)de pret weer bederven....we zullen het zien de komende weken....

    Mijn voorspelling is.... doorstijgen tot aan de all time high.... = 68 cent... en dan weer een terugval tot onder de 60 cent.

    Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals Limited is a Melbourne based biopharmaceutical company focused on developing its leading drug candiate CUV1647.

    The leading drug candidate currently in Phase II clinical trials is CUV1647 (formerly EPT1647/MelanotanTM). CUV1647 is being developed as a prophylactic photoprotective agent for four indications:

    1. Polymorphous Light Eruption (PLE)
    2. Actinic Keratosis (AK)
    3. Erythropoietic Protoporphyria (EPP)
    4. Solar Urticaria (SU)

    CUV1647 acts by increasing the levels of eumelanin in the skin; it appears to shield against subsequent prolonged UV irradiation (UVR). CUV1647 is delivered from a subcutaneous implant approximately the size of a grain of rice. Increased pigmentation of the skin appears after a few days and may last up to several months. It is proposed that CUV1647 will treat the millions of people world-wide who suffer from UV-related skin disorders such as PLE and AK.

    Since the inception of the company, we have enjoyed overwhelming interest in CUV1647 from clinicians, volunteers wanting to enrol in clinical trials, investors, prospective corporate partners, press, analysts and distributors.     Positive Phase II clinical trial results
    Event
    Clinuvel announced that a second Phase II clinical trial of its photo-protective
    drug, CUV1647, this time for EPP (Erythropoietic Protoporphyria), a UV related
    skin condition, has met its endpoints.
    Impact
    This is positive news. Clinuvel will use these results to advance to Phase III for
    this indication as soon as possible, pending regulatory approval. We caution
    that Phase III trials do carry risk.
    This moves Clinuvel one step closer along the path to market approval for
    CUV1647.
    CUV are arguably also one step closer to commercialisation discussions with
    licensing partners and consequent valuation uplift. Clinuvel is targeting the
    substantial global pharmaceutical markets resulting from increased UV radiation
    in the environment.
    We believe CUV offers a better risk profile due to the evaluation of CUV1647’s
    safety and efficacy in two Phase II trials, including over 300 patients.
    Overall we see this announcement as another significant positive step for the
    company and for the share price.
    Response
    Clinuvel is an Australian biopharmaceutical company, based in Melbourne and
    San Francisco, focussed on developing its leading drug candidate, photoprotective
    CUV1647, for a range of UV-related skin disorders resulting from
    exposure of the skin to the harmful effects of radiation in sunlight.
    EPP is currently one of four key indications that Clinuvel is investigating to
    pursue market approval of CUV1647. EPP is a generic condition characterised
    by severe light sensitivity (photo-toxicity) of the skin. The condition affects
    between one in 200,000 and 750,000 people. The condition mostly occurs in
    people with a fair skinned complexion and is characterised by excruciating pain,
    swelling, and scarring (mostly hands and face). The pain experienced by these
    patients typically requires treatment with analgesics or anti-inflammatory agents
    through out their lives. EPP patients are often forced to remain shielded
    indoors, a lifelong behaviour that gravely affects their lives.
    The use of CUV1647 in the treatment of EPP could allow CUV1647 to be
    designated as an orphan drug which opens the path for accelerated trial path.
    Its severity has allowed Clinuvel to use small numbers of trial statistically
    significant trial results seek regulatory approval to move to Phase III.
    This could potentially be Clinuvel’s second Phase III trial this year.
    We recommend a “Buy”.

    $ 1.05 toch een zwaardere hobbel dan verwacht.

    Het wereldwijde negatieve beurssentiment overheerst.
    Koers heeft zich t.o.v. van dit sentiment aardig stand weten te houden.

    CUV top, toch een correctie op dit nivo met dit sentiment sluit ik niet uit, temeer daar we alle enkele handelsdagen behoorlijk zijn gestegen.

    Je kon wel eens gelijk gaan krijgen.... nu 61 cent in Frankfurt.... eens geduldig afwachten wat er de komende dagen gaat gebeuren. Mmmmmmmmm

    Het algemeen negatief sentiment was vandaag wellicht de aanleiding voor wat consolidatie, bij een macro-economisch minder scherpe daling, of stijging gaat het aandeel waarschijnlijk weer verder in het trendkanaal. Het volume was vandaag 3 keer niets, omdat mensen hun stukjes gewoon (nog) niet kwijt willen in Clinuvel. Zelfs niet toen de bied opeens met 120k terug ging. Ik hou ze voorlopig nog wel eventjes aan.

    Nadeel van weinig volume is wel dat ze de koers met gemak kunnen drukken!
