    Als het al allemaal klopt wat er wordt geschreven. Lijkt me ook tricky om binnen zo'n relatief kleine marge van tussen 3 en 3,2 alledrie ( of alle vijf)zitten te bieden.

    en berichten is het spaans daar word ik ook niet wijzer van ....

    Telefonica's Endemol attracts three binding bids, including Mediaset - report

    MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Mediaset SpA's consortium is among the three bidders for Telefonica SA's 75 pct unit Endemol that filed binding offers by the deadline on Friday afternoon, reported Il Sole 24 Ore yesterday.

    In an unsourced report, the newspaper said the other bidders are a consortium of Italy's De Agostini, LVMH boss Bernard Arnault, and French private equity fund PAI; and Televisa-CBS (nyse: CBS - news - people ).

    The winner of Endemol could be announced as early as Tuesday, the paper said.

    Mediaset is allied with the private equity division of Goldman Sachs (nyse: GS - news - people ) and Endemol founder and Dutch entrepreneur John de Mol, it said.

    De Agostini had initially filed an interest in Endemol on its own before teaming with the Arnault group, it said.

    The third bid from Mexican TV company Televisa plus the US's CBS was unexpected, and could be financially more aggressive, the paper said.

    Endemol is valued at about 3 bln eur on the Amsterdam market, a price which includes a control premium after the recent rises, it said.

    Five suitors vying to grab GBP2bn Endemol

    (Evening Standard Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) ENDEMOL, the TV production company behind Big Brother and Deal or No Deal, was today on the verge of a e3 billion (GBP2 billion) takeover.

    A bidding war broke out with as many as five suitors tabling final offers for the firm, with the winner expected to be declared on Wednesday.

    It will mark the climax to a period of frenzied interest in Endemol after Spanish telecoms giant Telefonica put its 75% stake up for sale in February.

    Netherlands-based Endemol has attracted attention from some of the biggest names in private equity, including British giant Apax Partners and French rival PAI as well as US broadcaster CBS.

    It is one of the mosthigh-profile television producers in the world, thanks to the extraordinary success of programmes such as Big Brother and Deal or No Deal, which relaunched the declining career of Noel Edmonds.

    The company came under fire last year when Celebrity Big Brother was engulfed in a race row centred on the treatment of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty at the hands of other housemates, including Jade Goody. But shares in the company have soared in the past six months from below e16 to above e24 as investors looked tocash in on the takeover.
