Supplier working for Saab
by TimR on July 14, 2011
There is a lot of talk about suppliers stopping their deliveries but there is news that is just the complete opposite. Yesterday evening, I talked to Joahim Lind, CEO at ANA in Trollhättan, regarding their obligations towards Saab since I know ANA is a major supplier of services to Saab.
ANA disassembles used cars & test cars etc and sell the parts as used spare parts. ANA also develops and builds Saab police cars and the swedish police have a great interest in this product and there is a strong interest in the future Saab 9-5 SportCombi as a police car as well.
Any Saab employee can lease a car from the company, this whole fleet is managed, delivered and serviced by ANA. As the case with many suppliers the bills from ANA have not been payed yet. Joachim and the rest of the management discussed the situation once Saab’s situation started to become serious and they decided to continue to work with Saab trusting that Saab would pay when able! If ANA were to stop, it would mostly affect the employees who would not get their cars serviced and eventually they would not be able to drive them.
