    Daling vrijdag 2/8 door:

    - Onduidelijke AFM melding BlackRock
    - Angst dat Carlos Slim + BlackRock + ..... tegen verkoop E-Plus zal stemmen (worst case scenario: geen verkoop E-Plus en geen overname KPN).

    Waarschijnlijk had BlackRock haar stemrecht (4,91%) tussen 2011 en 2013 al teruggebracht naar 0% (tot 1/7/2013 was een melding onder de 5% niet nodig).

    Dat Telefonica bereid was om het bod op E-Plus te verhogen, was donderdag al bekend.
    Het zorgde juist voor een stijging, dit is HET BEGIN VAN EEN BIEDINGSSTRIJD.

    Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, owner of the telecom Claro and investor in more than 200 companies, is spending his August in the northwestern Spanish region of Galicia.
    The septuagenarian Slim, who is worth about $73 billion according to Forbes, chose for his weekend the Moncho bar in the village of Avion, Orense province, a place reserved for card playing, dominoes and other games that offers diners good wine and its culinary specialty of grilled meat.
    The magnate got down to a serious game of dominoes there with his good friend, compatriot and host, Olegario Vazquez Raña, son of emigrants from this Galician municipality and owner of a health care, communications, tourism and financial holding in Mexico.
    At the village bar, Carlos Slim ordered a tonic and stopped to buy an ice cream.
    Slim, in white pants and a striped white shirt, and Vazquez Raña, in blue and white like the Galician flag, concentrated on the 28 domino blocks in front of them with immutably confident smiles.
    “Come in, come in.” That was the invitation to reporters at the door of the small hotel who were allowed to enter and watch some of the players’ strategies and maneuvers to take the game.
    Carlos Slim never took his eyes off the game, even to take a sip.

    Telefonica CR spokesman Hany Farghali said the firm had been exploring "a multitude of options" with regard to sharing. "However, at this moment, we do not have any binding network sharing agreement with any party apart from ...(T-Mobile)."

    Telefonica CR has shared part of its Czech 3G network with Germany's T-Mobile since 2011. The reported deal with Vodafone would be much larger in scale.

    AT&T en America Movil moeten opschieten de merger gaat zeker door (als ze KPN niet overnemen).

    EU Competition Commissioner Joaquin Almunia has indicated that he sees consolidation in the industry could be helpful, saying earlier this year the fragmentation “preoccupies” him.
    “Our merger control in this sector therefore becomes especially important,” said Almunia in a speech in February. “We have to ensure that the market structures that result from the mergers we control remain competitive.”

    Als Telefonica en E-Plus VOOR de deadline van 2 weken met een voorstel komen, dan moet AT&T en America Movil nog sneller actie ondernemen.

    DeutscheTelekom heeft niet eens geklaagd over Telefonica-E-Plus merger tijdens de presentatie van de kwartaalcijfers.

    De concurrenten zijn misschien zelfs blij met de merger.

    Het bod is omgerekend 5,08 euro voor de claimemissie. Dat is vrij laag, maar logisch om een meerderheidsbelang te verwerven en daarmee het bod op E-plus te vermijden.
    Ben benieuwd of Telefonica iets terug doet.
