   Goedenavond, mooie stukjes Frederik C. Ook vind ik de tegengeluiden soms verfrissend, niet alles is waar wat we lezen. Toch zit ik zelf zwaar belegd in Ripple en houd ze aan tot €5. Dan gaat er 20% uit en de andere 80% laat ik runnen. Let your profits run....altijd. Ik ben een early believer dus so far so good. De volatiliteit zal enorm zijn de komende maanden. Ik heb er zelf erg veel aan om af en toe eens te checken hoe het gaat, maar voorlopig laat ik alles staan. Succes allen! Grt

   Hoi, sorry voor de late reactie. Dat is inderdaad wat ik nu doe: alle aankopen doen via Libebit en ze vervolgens in mijn wallet op Gatehub plaatsen. Dit is ook het meest eenvoudig, maar ook de duurste oplossing. Ik had graag een kooporder tegen een bepaalde koers geplaatst op Gatehub, maar aangezien mijn Eur-Gateway nog steeds "pending" is, is dit geen optie. Nog bedankt voor je reactie.

   Second-largest cryptocurrency ripple may have run ahead of itself
   
   "Definitely the ripple ecosystem is definitely going to have to get a lot bigger to justify where XRP is right now," said Michael Graham, an analyst at Canaccord Genuity who has covered internet stocks since the late 1990s.
   When asked which firms are using XRP, a Ripple spokesperson pointed only to an October announcement that said a bank called Cuallix is the first financial institution to use XRP, in this case for U.S.-Mexico transactions. No other firms were named.
   However, Ripple said in a tweet Thursday that 3 of the top 5 global money transfer companies plan to use XRP in payment flows in 2018.

   Digital currency ripple has blown past its cryptocurrency rivals largely because it is working with large institutions, which give it an aura of legitimacy and practicality.
   
   However, cryptocurrency enthusiasts say that centralization is the exact opposite of what the technology of the digital currencies should be about.
   
   "The reason ripple is surging so much is it's a bubble," said Erik Voorhees, CEO of digital asset exchange ShapeShift and a vocal advocate for bitcoin as a way to separate money and the state. "Testing crypto with banks doesn't make sense. The whole idea of crypto is you don't need banks."
   
   It's "not interesting from a financial innovation perspective," Voorhees said.
   
   Ripple is officially the name of a five-year-old start-up based in San Francisco that is developing a payments network for financial institutions. XRP is the name of the coin participants can use for transactions. The company announced in October that more than 100 financial institutions are using its network in some way. These include Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Mizhuho, Credit Agricole and Nordic bank SEB.

Als het straks mis gaat (en dat zal gebeuren) en iedereen wil verkopen blijft er niets van over is mijn vaste overtuiging. Dus daarom mijn uiting dat u maar uit moet kijken. De winst van de een is het verlies van een ander straks.

    Aankondiging dat Coinbase voorlopig geen nieuwe coins toevoegt zorgde voor dip van 20%.....ik denk dat ze wel moeten in de toekomst, vier crypto’s is niks.

    In this article, The New York Times states that there is still a lot of confusion about the difference between the company Ripple and the token XRP. They want to underline the fact that there is still too much confusion about it, and that banks are not going to use XRP, but only the technology the company created to transfer their money.
    
    The newspaper reports the words of Ari Paul, a co-founder of the hedge fund BlockTower Capital. “I’m not aware of banks using or planning to use the XRP token at the scale of tens of billions of dollars necessary to support XRP’s valuation,”. But despite all this, the worth of the token XRP keep growing, not exempt from physiological falls; why?
    
    According to the New York Times, this growth is pushed by smaller investor who don’t understand the difference between Ripple technology and its Cryptocurrency. “But banks do not need to use Ripple tokens for Ripple’s software to transfer dollars, euros and yen. That point appears to be lost on many small time investors who are buying Ripple tokens.”
    
    The newspaper may have not considered the fact that this digital currency can be useful and convenient not only for banks, but also for ordinary citiziens and for their daily payments. This growth can be caused by greater awareness among small investors about the strenghts of this cryptocurrency, but also by the many news regarding agreements with various banks and financial institutes.
    
    Ryan Selkis, a virtual currency analyst, recently posted this: “An impossibly long list of things already needs to go right for XRP to become a reserve currency for banks, but that doesn’t mean Ripple’s price won’t keep ascending. Because this is crypto, and everyone in the industry is now slinging crack crypto cocaine to retail addicts.”

    Denk dat er straks weer veel fantasie in Xrp komt. De woordkeuze van Coinbase laat weer genoeg ruimte voor toevoeging op korte termijn. Ze moeten wel, de concurrentie zit niet stil. Als een koers van 0,18 naar 2,72 € gaat in 3 weken en vervolgens op slecht Coinbasenieuws blijft liggen op 2.30 €, niet slecht. De echte impuls wave moet nog komen, verwacht ik zo.
    
    Ik moet ook vaak terugdenken aan de mensen die de huizenmarkt zo idioot duur vonden, of aandelen etc....nu weer de crypto’s. Denk dat teveel azijn je arm maakt....:))) maar iedereen zijn ding natuurlijk.
