    Is dit de reden waarom hij waterstof zit slecht te praten. Ook Duitsland en GB zijn dit pad aan het bewandelen.
    "De systemen die hij onder meer heeft ontwikkeld, kunnen aardgas omzetten in waterstof" ... lekker duurzaam ook.
    Ik zie waterstof ook te zitten, maar niet op deze manier. Wat mij betreft gaat de HyperSolar oplossing (www.hypersolar.com) hoge ogen gooien om mij tzt. als huiseigenaar grotendeels zelfvoorzienend te laten zijn.

    (Bloomberg) -- Volkswagen AG bought fuel-cell technology from Ballard Power Systems Inc. in a deal worth as much as $112 million to advance the German automaker’s development of clean-running vehicles.
    Ballard will transfer automotive-related patents to VW for $50 million and will provide engineering services through March 2019, the Canadian technology company said today in a statement. Ballard shares surged the most in almost two years.
    “We are securing crucial expertise that will provide new impetus for the further development of this technology,” Ulrich Hackenberg, the development chief of Volkswagen’s Audi unit, said in a statement. Audi plans to make the technology available to other Volkswagen brands, which include Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini.

    Mantra Energy Alternatives Ltd., a subsidiary of Mantra Venture Group Ltd. (OTCQB:MVTG), announced an update on the deployment of their first fuel cell demonstration prototype and Electro-Reduction of Carbon Dioxide ("ERC") pilot plant.
    Mantra's Founder and CEO, Larry Kristof, expressed: "We are pleased to say that our prototype MRFC ('Mixed Reactant Fuel Cell') design and testing has been producing excellent results in the laboratory. Our engineering team is well on its way to integrating this system into our first demonstration unit - in fact, the technology is the first ever demonstration of its kind in a practical application. The integration platform has been procured and re-engineered, and the team has carried out the necessary diagnostics to ensure the successful incorporation of the fuel cell."

Due to the innovative nature of Mantra's technology, suppliers for certain components are limited, which can result in inescapable delivery delays; for example, advanced electrode material from Europe.     Ballard Customer Demonstrates World’s First Hydrogen Fuel Cell Tram

    April 7, 2015
    For Immediate Release

    Vancouver, Canada and Qingdao, China – Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ: BLDP; TSX: BLD) today announced that the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell powered fixed rail electric tram was successfully demonstrated at a ceremonial event held in March at the head office, production and testing facility of CSR Qingdao Sifang Company (CSR Sifang), a Chinese rolling stock manufacturer based in Qingdao, Shandong province.

    “This is an exciting demonstration of our world leading fuel cell power modules in a new application,” said Randy MacEwen, Ballard’s President and CEO. “Clean urban transportation is a high priority in China and this zero-emission prototype fuel cell tram is an important step in demonstrating one solution.”

    The event was attended by senior officials of the City of Foshan, a tram customer of CSR Sifang, and invited guests took a ride on the prototype fuel cell powered tram. Ballard’s FCvelocity® fuel cell module is integrated into the low floor tram design.

    Mr. MacEwen added, “We are proud to partner with CSR Sifang, which has a rich history of innovation in Chinese rail transit. In just a few short months since signing a Memorandum of Understanding and receiving CSR Sifang’s initial purchase order, we were able to enjoy a clean, quiet and smooth tram experience at this ground-breaking event.”

    Established more than 100-years ago, in 1900, CSR Sifang has a yearly production capacity of 200 high-speed electric multiple units (EMUs), 1,000 mass transit vehicles and 300 high-grade passenger cars. Additional testing of the fuel cell-powered tram is being completed at CSR Sifang’s facility in Qingdao.

    2 weken geleden is dit al in het nieuws geweest, ben wel opgelucht dat ballard leverancier is.
    Hopelijk eindigt dit niet zoals de Azure deal in januari. Wie weet gaat sifang wel eens een fuel cell trein demonstreren binnenkort.
