    Gezien de hogere koers in Londen verwacht ik vandaag ook stijging in Amsterdam.

    Accoya Wood Selected for Renovation Project of German Embassy.

    Accoya, the high performance modified wood product, has been selected as the wood of choice by HPP architects for the renovation of the German Embassy in Washington DC.



    The prestigious property combines the main colonial-style Embassy building and a semi-detached house. Both structures were designed in the 1960s by prominent German architect Egon Eiermann.



    In recent years, the impressive main Embassy building has suffered from asbestos contamination. As a result, the entire German Embassy has been completely renovated in order to meet modern-day health and safety standards – a challenging task for the architects having to balance the rigorous constraints of US building regulations with the need to respect and adapt Eiermann’s original design.



    To fulfil the requirements of the job, the team of architects elected to use Accoya modified wood as part of the overall renovation project. Accoya wood, manufactured by Accsys Technologies, is one of the most superior wood products on the market today and is created using an advanced modification technology, which delivers outstanding levels of performance, including stability and durability.



    It is created by using a proprietary process called acetylation on sustainably sourced and legal wood. This results in an attractive wood which matches or exceeds the properties against tropical hardwood, and is perfect for a variety of uses from windows and doors to external cladding, decking and structural projects.



    100m3 of Accoya was used to replace all the window frames of the Embassy. The windows were made by Annen GMBH & CO KG Joinery and were then coated by Remmers Germany.



    Product Manager Jorg Neben at Roggemann, who supplied Accoya for the project said: “Accoya wood has proved to be a sustainable, durable, and stable material, which is guaranteed against rot and decay for 50 years for exterior use – making it perfect for any demanding outdoor application.



    We have been supplying Accoya to our customers in Germany for the last 5 years and all our customers and architects have been delighted with the results. It’s also a very popular material throughout the rest of Europe, and is beginning to establish itself as the timber of choice for the American architectural and construction markets. Accoya’s high performance capabilities mean the wood looks like new for longer and doesn’t shrink, swell or rot like other timber products.”

    Goed nieuws beeldscherm. Ik vraag mij wel af hoe ze uiteindelijk aan de stijgende vraag gaan voldoen. Met slechts 1 fabriek a 33.000 m3(wegens foutmarges) ben je toch al snel aan je maximale productiecapaciteit? En ja, Solvay gaat een fabriek bouwen, maar die is pas eind 2016 klaar.

    Dat had een goeie vraag geweest tijdens de webcast.

    m,i zijn ze allang met de bouw bezig lees ook bericht van Vacature Product engineer,
    ......
    Daarnaast bent u in het kader van de verkoop van licenties aan klanten betrokken bij het ontwerpen en implementeren van projecten t.b.v. productieplants in aanbouw op verschillende locaties in het buitenland.

    Wat zou de reden zijn om dat niet kenbaar te maken?

    Paul Clegg gaf ook aan dat Medite een fabriek wilde gaan bouwen.

    Maar dat zijn dus distributeurs, maar dus niet fabrieken die in eigen beheer zijn.

    misschien zijn ze wel met Eastman chemicals in gesprek voor hun gesloten afd.,

    Eastman Marketing Communications Manager Jessica Flagg said Perennial Wood will be available in approximately 100 Lowe’s Home Improvement stores in the Northeast, with the product reaching store shelves in this region sometime this spring.

    Eastman’s Perennial Wood facility in Kingsport created 60 to 70 new jobs here. The capital to build the first production facility was part of the company’s Project Reinvest, which pumped millions of dollars into the Kingsport plant to upgrade operations and build new processes.

    Inderdaad, ergens verwacht je dat professionelen die vragen wel zouden stellen, maar als je dan merkt dat sommigen hun papiertje met inderhaast opgeschreven vragen moeten zoeken leer je al snel het belang van die webcast te relativeren. Eigenlijk zouden wij als kleine vis het lef moeten hebben om zelf het heft in handen te nemen.

    Bij het produceren gaat het meeste tijd zitten in het drogen van het hout. Weet niet hoelang de acetylering duurt maar dat is korter dan drogen misschien gaan ze gedroogd hout van bv plato wood kopen en dat acetyleren. dan kan je misschien aan de vraag voldoen totdat solvay de fabriek heeft gebouwd.

    Vandaag werden er toch nog weer behoorlijke plukjes verkocht voor 24ct in Londen. Als we dit als een bouw gerelateerd aandeel zien is dit heel mooi. de uptrend blijft helemaal gehandhaafd.
    Ben benieuwd naar de cijfers van het eerste kwartaal van Accsys boekjaar.
