    absoluut, maar ik ben dan toch op de vroege middag uit de loopgraven gekomen, toen Tim Cook liet zien wat een CEO groot maakt, hij deed some serious damage control met zijn nieuws update en je kon zien Apple kreeg een enorme wassing op de opening, maar dat was het

    Apple heeft zo'n enorme weging binnen de index dat als Apple het kan houden en draait dan krijg je navolging.

    Jammer dat HG in deze daling zich niet één X heeft laten horen, het is geen kwestie dat je er zit om de koers van het aandeel te bepalen, maar je mag best je aandeelhouders eens een hart onder de riem steken, dat deed Timmy Boy vandaag en ook al is het niet de ommekeer, hij deed het op t juiste moment

    denk dat heel veel privé aandeelhouders heel blij zijn dat Tim zich liet horen.

    HG of TC maakt wel een verschil ja. Maar ja als je er rond de 5-6 bent ingestapt (net als jij dus) dan heb je een stootkussen wat op zich rustgevend is. Die 2 euro die nu verdampt is is slechts papier.

    The Longshot Electric Car Being Developed By China’s Netflix

    LeTV is developing an electric car to take on Tesla. They’ve hired 600 people—including 200 stationed in the U.S.—to develop the car that they revealed for the first time this week.

    And if you’re totally confused, that’s okay.

    If you live outside of China, you’ve probably never heard of Letv. But the company is essentially China’s Netflix. It’s the No. 1 streaming service in the country, and much like Netflix, it’s started producing shows, movies, and even sports. But Letv’s billionaire founder and CEO Jia Yueting ambitions far exceed simply ruling digital entertainment. He’s released a television (that they say became China’s top-selling smart TV), a phone (that sold 200,000 units in the first few seconds of release), and in early 2014, he vocally set his sights on Tesla, announcing that Letv will release an electric car of their own. Earlier this year, he even cashed in $1.2 billion of his own shares, then loaned the cash back to Letv, presumably to help fund the project.

    Just this week, the company released the first concept sketches of their upcoming electric vehicle, seemingly named by a 12-year-old French boy: Le* Supercar. ("Le Car" was already—gloriously—taken.) Planned for the luxury market, it appears to be an elongated hatchback, giving off strong vibes of a sporty station wagon. While the designs are nothing more than drawings, we’re told that the design language itself is final. The car will debut at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show with the intent to bring it to market two and a half years from now.

    The Le Supercar project, along with all of Letv's electric vehicle endeavors, is being led by Tony Nie, a former founding member of Lotus China team, who was the first person hired on the project a little over a year ago. (Notably, the original Tesla Roadster was built on a Lotus frame.) He’s spent the last year staffing up, hiring 600 people to develop the car—400 in China, and 200 in the U.S.—including talent poached from Tesla, BMW, and GM.

    "Those people, they bring very good experience. They’ve done this before," Nie tells Co.Design. "They know how to avoid a mistake. They’ve learned the lessons already, so they can help us to move faster, and do something really different."

    Exactly what does Nie mean by "something really different"? He’s coy with more details about the vehicle, but Le Supercar will feature its own powertrain that Letv is developing in-house—including a motor, inverter, and battery technology. He says it will feature a minimum of mechanical components, thanks largely to the car’s operating system, which will serve as the car’s primary interface. It’s a revision on the Android-based OS that Letv has been using on its televisions and phones—products that Nie sees, not as discrete electronics, but as portals to Letv’s core product: Content.

    "We believe when you put the big screen and the service with the apps into the electric vehicle, you can use this as a portal as well, and reach the customer," Nie says. "That’s a main reason we want to develop this electric vehicle."

    In other words, Le Supercar is almost being billed as a TV on wheels. And while that might sound silly, design studios like Ideo and auto manufacturers like Mercedes have teased a future when self-driving vehicles leave us with more time, and so our cars will be designed around relaxation and productivity. And from this perspective, maybe it’s not so crazy that Letv is producing an electric vehicle platform that Nie plans to eventually develop into a self-driving electric vehicle. Even still, it’s hard to believe that any company—even Silicon Valley giants like Apple—can produce a competitive, electric car so quickly when even the major automakers have more or less failed to best Tesla.

    "If we talked about this four to five years ago, I'd have no confidence to do this," Nie admits. "But [as of] this year and last year, I think the technology is getting mature. And more companies are getting into this area. So I think it’s time to join this industry to develop something different."

    * Notably, the "Le" in "Le Supercar" is inspired by Mandarin, not French, and it means "happy."

    Wat Apple betreft helemaal eens. Ongekend zo'n opening, op die koersen had ik ze zelfs gelust.

    Vwb TT, er valt weinig te vertellen voor HG; echt geld verdienen doen ze niet en ondertussen is het consortium hard bezig van Here de nieuwe standaard te maken. Ze lonken nu zelfs al naar big tech. Het momentum voor TT loopt er dus keihard uit. Toch zou die hele bende qua sum-of-the-parts restwaarde m.i. nog altijd meer op moeten kunnen leveren dan de <2 miljard market cap die de beurs er momenteel op plakt. De dromen kunnen wat mij betreft dus opgeborgen worden, maar nog niet alles is verloren.

    Off topic, opening Wall Street was de ultieme panic slide. Wat heb jij opgepikt/waar kijk jij naar?

    zit er echt over te denken om helemaal niks meer te plaatsen
    want anderen corrigeren die akelige figuren ook niet met een nok
    ben dat oeverloze aanvallen en belachelijk maken van mij zo zat
    misschien dat de normalen op dit forum eens kunnen ingrijpen anders houdt het echt op voor mij als het om plaatsen gaat van eventuele informatie die ik hoor

With the new, mobile tablet, FleetBoard has collaborated with TomTom, a leading expert in navigation and maps, to provide a state-of-the-art and powerful work tool for order management with the FleetBoard services Messaging or Logistics. The rugged device, which has a 7-inch (17.8 cm) display, supports drivers in the optimum handling of all processes concerned with transport and orders.
    Equipped with the latest TomTom navigation software and route guidance specially tailored to trucks, the new DispoPilot.guide advises on the best route to the destination. This applies to the whole of Europe, because maps and regular updates are available for 46 countries at no additional cost. Using the FleetBoard services Messaging or Logistics, the central dispatch office can send the driver addresses which can be transferred to the navigation system with just a few clicks on the tablet. In 29 European countries, the driver is kept informed about the current traffic situation via dynamic live traffic information. Significant delays can be promptly reported to the dispatch office. Simultaneously with more than one finger or a pen, the driver can conveniently send and receive text messages using the high-resolution multi-touch screen on the tablet. Simple communication by means of the FleetBoard services on the device significantly reduces the need for error-prone telephone calls, with the result that detours and wasted journeys can be minimised.
    Weighing just 480 grams, the DispoPilot.guide is easy to take out of the cradle in the vehicle. The device has its own SIM card, which means that the FleetBoard Logistics service is also available with the ignition off as well as when the driver is outside the vehicle. The driver thus has a constant overview of all order details. Each processing step, any change or damage to the goods can be recorded immediately and sent directly to the central dispatch office.
    The tablet is made more rugged by rubber-reinforced corners. In addition, the device is operable in a temperature range from -20°C to +60°C. The DispoPilot.guide can run for up to three hours on the rechargeable battery. During this time, the 5-megapixel camera with flash also enables the driver to take photos, such as after an accident for the purpose of a damage report.
    The new DispoPilot.guide is now available for ordering and will probably be delivered in Europe from production month 01.11.2015. It can be factory-installed in Mercedes-Benz trucks. All other vehicles as well as Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses can easily be retrofitted. Operation of the DispoPilot.guide requires the appropriate pre-installation for the vehicle as well as the FleetBoard TiiRec on-board computer. To be able to access the tablet's full scope of features, the services FleetBoard Messaging or FleetBoard Logistics must be available. The navigation system can also be used without FleetBoard services.
