    Steinhoff stock has crashed more than 97 percent since reporting the financial wrongdoing on Dec. 5, causing a slump in Wiese’s net worth to $2.2 billion from more than $5 billion. He’s suing the owner of Conforama in France and Mattress Firm in the U.S. for 59 billion rand. Shoprite’s stock has slid 5.1 percent over the same period, valuing the company at 133 billion rand.

    Steinhoff International Holdings NV (SNH.JO) said Wednesday that it is seeking to extend its credit support period to July 20 from June 30 to allow sufficient time for creditors to approve and sign up to the lock-up agreement.
    The company said earlier in June that subsidiaries Steinhoff Europe AG and Steinhoff Finance Holding GmbH had entered into formal "letters of support" with certain creditors.
    Steinhoff said that if the letters are not amended, the arrangements they brought into effect will cease to apply on June 30.
    The company said that if an extension is not agreed by June 29, the boards of SEAG and Holding will need to assess their options, which include local reorganization procedures and obligations under Austrian law.
    Steinhoff International said it will agree to provide a "limited amount of funds" to pay certain operating costs, expenses and liabilities incurred by SEAG and Holding during the period from July 1 up to and including July 20.
    The embattled South-African retailer is in discussions with its creditors to agree the terms of a consensual restructuring plan and a lock-up agreement on the implementation of the restructuring plan.

    Als ik Steinhoff was zou ik heel veel eigen aandelen in kopen tegen 0.07 of 0.08 deze als genoegdoening cadeau doen aan de schuldeisers in ruil voor uitstel of afstel van opeisbaarheid van die schulden. Daarnaast een plan wereldkundig maken waaruit blijkt dat Steinhoff gewoon doorgaat met winst maken waardoor die aandelen enorm zullen stijgen. Wij blij en die schuldeisers natuurlijk ook met hun aandelen.

    En waar moet het geld vandaan komen om deze aandelen in te kopen?

    En waar moet het geld vandaan komen om deze aandelen in te kopen?

    Ik denk dat er operationeel winst is! Het geld voor die aandelen inkoop kan uit die winst evenals de kosten van adviseurs en advocaten!Dat er dan een uiteindelijk verlies ontstaat is dan zo! maar de toekomst is dan weer zeker gesteld.

    Niet lullig bedoeld maar je hebt echt geen flauw benul waar je het over hebt...

    Er staan 100.000 banen op het spel, denk je nu echt dat als het zo makkelijk zou zijn het al niet lang bedacht was?

    Die banen blijven wel bestaan! Het probleem was volgens mij niet een teveel aan banen maar malversaties in de boekhouding. Het is natuurlijk niet zo dat indien Steinhoff onverhoopt failliet gaat de markten die zij bedienden ophouden te bestaan. De kans dat er een ander voor een uiterst lage prijs de boel overneemt is aanwezig. Indien dat gebeurd geeft dat de werknemers een betere garantie op behoud van hun baan dan op dit moment. En ja oplossingen kunnen soms simpel zijn. Maar het gaat er wel om spannen. Als de schuldeisers nu akkoord gaan met uitstel van welke stap dan ook tegen Steinhoff tot 20 july a.s. dan heeft het management een goed verhaal.

    STEINHOFF .... het worden spannende dagen..... Ze liggen op het randje.... Als er nu 1 duwt vallen ze er af en is het over en uit.... Maar dan zijn ze ook hun geld kwijt.... Ik zeg ze krijgen uitstel....

    Morgen tussentijdse (2018H1) resultaten. Iemand enig idee of dit voor- of nabeurs wordt gepubliceerd? Ik kan het nergens achterhalen…

    In ieder geval de verwachtingen zijn:
    “It is estimated that the group’s retail operations will deliver H1 2018 revenue of €9.4bn (R141bn) compared to a preliminary restated €9.3bn (R140bn) for the first half of the 2017 financial year, representing a 1% increase.”

    The group expects its earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) margin to be between 4% and 5%, compared to the margin between 5% and 6% reported for the same period last year. It expects retail operations to be profitable.

    But taking into account central costs, depreciation, advisory fees for the restructuring, liquidity, litigation and investigation, foreign exchange losses on cross-currency loans, impairments, capital losses suffered on asset disposals to generate liquidity and increased interest costs – the company expects a loss after taxation.

    We wachten af. Degenen die er in zitten verkopen toch niet voor een dubbeltje. Spanning is om te snijden, banken hebben voorlopig de touwen in handen.

    Op woensdag liet Steinhoff de schuldeisers weten dat ze moeten bevestigen dat ze akkoord gaan met de verlenging uiterlijk op vrijdag 10.00 uur Oostenrijkse tijd.

    En vanmiddag de cijfers.

    Wat te doen als schuldeisers niet akkoord gaan??
