    Sopheon has announced that it is partnering with Hershey, the well known US based confectionery brand, to support digital transformation of Hershey’s product innovation portfolio. Sopheon’s Accolade solution will connect existing and new processes, enabling collaboration, synchronisation, focus and decision making to maximise the benefit of group innovation priorities. The partnership follows on from Sopheon’s experience assisting dozens of food and consumer goods companies in delivering insights and responding to opportunities to continue to compete in an increasingly fast moving and disrupted environment. We look forward to a trading update in the next few weeks as 2019 is expected to build on the momentum established in the past four years, attracting ever more high-profile global brands as customers.

    Trading Update
    Sopheon, the international provider of software, expertise, and best practices for Enterprise Innovation Performance, is pleased to provide the following trading update for the year ended 31 December 2018.

    In the trading update issued on 8 October 2018, we noted that record third quarter performance had taken revenue visibility1 for 2018 above $30m, leading to an upgrade of market expectations2 for the year. We are pleased to report continued commercial delivery in the final months of the year, evidenced by the recently announced partnership with global confectioner The Hershey Company. Accordingly, we expect that revenue for the year ended 31 December 2018 will be comfortably in line with the already upgraded market expectations, and early indications are for a stronger outperformance at the EBITDA and pre-tax profit levels.

    Financial expectations noted above are preliminary, and subject to year-end financial close and audit review processes. Further information will be provided towards the end of January 2019 in a more detailed trading update, and in line with our normal reporting schedule, Sopheon plans to issue its 2018 results on 21 March 2018.

    Sopheon has issued a brief trading update which says that revenues for the year ended 31 December 2018 will be ‘comfortably in line’ with market expectations which were upgraded following its Q3 2018 trading update. Early indications are that EBITDA and pre-tax profits will show stronger outperformance. Since its Q3 trading update, Sopheon has highlighted new contract wins with two multinational businesses. These, and previous contracts, further underline the benefits of the Accolade platform’s successful deployment in new areas as well as in its traditional sales arenas resulting in its adoption in an increasingly wide range of applications. With a more detailed update on the full year performance expected later in January, we leave our estimates unchanged for now but note the continuing positive momentum in the Group.
