    CF Industries Holdings, Inc. Welcomes Commerce Department's Affirmative Preliminary Antidumping Duty Determinations Concerning UAN from Russia and Trinidad and Tobago
    CF Industries Holdings, Inc. today welcomed the U.S. Department of Commerce's ("Commerce") affirmative preliminary determinations in its antidumping duty ("AD") investigations of imports of urea ammonium nitrate ("UAN") from Russia and Trinidad and Tobago ("Trinidad"). This follows Commerce's affirmative preliminary countervailing duty ("CVD") determinations for UAN from Russia and Trinidad, issued in November 2021.

    "Commerce's affirmative preliminary antidumping and countervailing duty determinations not only address unfair trade practices that have harmed the U.S. UAN industry and its workers, but also help ensure that this vital product remains readily available to U.S. farmers from reliable domestic suppliers," said Tony Will, president and chief executive officer, CF Industries Holdings, Inc. "We appreciate the thorough, fact-driven investigations conducted by Commerce professionals and their impartial application of U.S. law. We look forward to participating in the post-preliminary phase of these investigations."

    Commerce found that Russian UAN imports are dumped (i.e., sold at less than fair value) into the U.S. market at rates ranging from 9.15% to 127.19%, and that Trinidadian UAN imports are dumped at a rate of 63.08%. As a result of these determinations, Commerce will impose cash deposit requirements on imports of UAN from Russia and Trinidad, based on the preliminary rates of dumping. Additional CVD cash deposit requirements are already in place based on Commerce's previous preliminary finding that Russian UAN imports are unfairly subsidized at rates ranging from 9.66% to 9.84%, and that Trinidadian UAN imports are unfairly subsidized at a rate of 1.83%.

    Yara International ASA: Yara and Linde Engineering agree to build a 24 MW green hydrogen demonstration plant in Norway. Both companies aim to achieve a significant carbon dioxide reduction in the production of fertilizers in Norway
    Oslo, January 28, 2022: Today, Yara announces the signing of a contract with Linde Engineering for the construction and delivery of a green hydrogen demonstration plant at Yara's ammonia production facility at Herøya Industripark in Porsgrunn, Norway. The project, which is supported by a NOK 283 million grant from Enova (announced in December 2021), will demonstrate that ammonia produced using renewable energy can reduce the impact of carbon dioxide in fertilizer production.

    The project will be realized by water electrolysis which will produce green hydrogen to partially replace the hydrocarbon-based hydrogen production in Yara's plant, using proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology. This will be the second 24 MW PEM electrolysis plant designed and constructed by Linde Engineering; the first is now being built at the Leuna Chemical Complex in Germany.

    "The project aims to supply the first green ammonia products to the market as early as mid-2023, both as fossil-free fertilizers, as well as emissions-free shipping fuel. Green ammonia is the key to reducing emissions from world food production and long-distance shipping. With this project, we move from intention to actions together with Linde Engineering and local contractors", says Magnus Ankarstrand, President Yara Clean Ammonia.

    The plant will have an annual capacity of around 10,000 kg/day of hydrogen. It will replace ethane as raw material in production, thereby reducing 41,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, the same amount as emitted by roughly 16,000 passenger vehicles.

    The electricity will be delivered from renewable energy sources and will provide enough hydrogen to produce 20,500 tonnes of ammonia per year which can be converted to between 60,000 and 80,000 tonnes of green fertilizer, roughly five times the annual production of food grade wheat in Norway.The project will be Yara's first step towards decarbonization of the ammonia industry.

    "This project showcases Linde Engineering's market leadership in electrolysis projects. Given the growing demand from the fertilizer industry for green hydrogen, this plant is a step towards further upscaling and increasing the size of these projects worldwide," said John van der Velden, Senior Vice President Global Sales & Technology, Linde Engineering.

    Yara will in addition to Linde work with a significant number of local suppliers in the Grenland region on this project. This will contribute to creating new jobs and build valuable competence and experience for the green transition locally.

    Fertiglobe is niet gedaald de laatste weken, nu ook gewoon 2ct in de plus. Denk dat die beurs niet gestuurd wordt door algo's.

    Afgelopen weekend zijn we met een paar mensen op dit forum aan het rekenen geslagen en we zijn tot de conclusie gekomen dat indien je de groei cijfers en de verwachting cijfers van CF projecteert op OCI dan kan OCI een netto winst van 6 euro per aandeel over 2021 gehaald hebben.
    We geloven het bijna zelf niet, dus we hebben het maar klein gehouden.
    Vandaag heb ik globaal zo'n zelfde berekening gemaakt met de gister uitgekomen cijfers over 2021 van Methanex en kom ook weer uit op 6 euro netto winst voor OCI.
    Natuurlijk realiseert ieder zich dat het wel lastig is om bedrijven met verschillende productie processen met elkaar te vergelijken. De overeenkomsten zitten eigenlijk alleen, dat de afzetprijzen van al deze bedrijven met gemiddeld 100 % zijn toegenomen, terwijl de productie processen niet noemenswaardig duurder werden/worden.
    Maar ruw weg kan je constateren dat de gehele kunstmestindustrie een gouden jaar achter de rug heeft en de verwachting van de diverse analisten is dat de resultaten in 2022 niet veel minder zijn.

    Dat denk ik ook niet. Want daar vind geen handel plaats elke seconde. Daar wordt minder gekloot met het aandeel
