The Landjet (Audi Grand Sphere) will be the first Volkswagen Group model to use the advanced new SSP architecture, which combines elements from the mainstream MEB and performance-focused PPE EV platforms. It will also use an advanced new VW.OS software package developed by Cariad, the Volkswagen Group’s in-house software arm.
www.autocarindia.com/car-news/audi-gr...Volkswagen and Microsoft have cooperated since 2018 on creating a Cloud platform for connected vehicles.
The first trials of the planned system are due later this year, with rollout envisaged in 2022, a statement said.
Volkswagen plans to invest some 27 billion euros in this field by 2025.
Volkswagen's "Car.Software" unit set up last year will have some 11,000 people working on its "VW.OS" operating system which will connect cars over the Cloud.
Microsoft Azure Maps and TomTom
TomTom and Microsoft are putting best-in-class location technology into the hands of developers worldwide to build and manage location-aware applications. In the partnership, TomTom is the leading location data provider for Microsoft, powering mapping services across Azure, Bing Maps, Cortana, Windows and more innovations that will come forward through this continued relationship.
De vraag is of de nieuwe Audi Grand Sphere aansluit op Azure Maps, het maakt sowieso gebruik van VW.OS zo te zien.
